GiGi (or Ganymedes), the Fool
So I call her "The Fool" because she got started things for me with the fun of wig and eye changes. Also, the red shoes.

On the scalp, under the wig, is marked "MOLLY I-M(2)" which means that her collector name is Lenora. Back of the neck dated 1997, and 2007 body tag.

She has a tan fabric body, and pretty tan skin.
I replaced her eyes, from brown to now reddish brown. Maybe you cannot tell the red tint in the photos, but they are in person.

The eye change didn't go too well, because it was a cold day in the Spring, and because of my concerns about plastic fumes, I was trying to heat up her head outside on the porch with a blow-dryer, while she was laying on a towel. It is recommended to take off all eyelashes and wig before completing an eye change. Also I have read that 5 minutes on the hot setting of a hair dryer is needed to get the plastic soft enough. However because of nerves and my reluctance to get the vinyl too hot, as well as the chilly day outside, I didn't heat the head/ eye socket area for long enough. As a result, things didn't go too smoothly, and there is some damage around her left eye from where the vinyl became scratched.

The left eye is scratched |
I managed to cause some internal crack in the right eye when handling it, so there is the appearance of 2 scratches on it, that are at least not scratches on the surface.

It had the result of giving her a glint in her right eye.
It was a rather trying eye change, and since then I learned to go with the 4-5 minutes heat recommendation, and try to do things quickly instead of spending a lot of time prying out the old eye. If the eye is not coming out right away, then the vinyl is probably not soft enough.
Her eyebrows which were stenciled kind of lop-sided, have been darkened by me with a brown colored pencil, the tip of which wasn't sharp enough to obtain a very fine line. Still, I like the way she looks.

THE CLOTHES
The lavender undershirt that is part of the purple velvet leopard-print overalls outfit never looked very good in my opinion, so she wears the overalls more like pants, with the My Twinn tasseled red sweater over it. Something about the over-sized sweater with the fabric of the pants and her soft body makes you feel good when you pick her up by the middle.

GiGi was one of the first dolls I made over, so of course I had to make sure that she had all the purple velvet leopard-print accessories. So she has the backpack, bucket hat, as well as the purple velvet leopard-print headband.

Also she comes with the child-size backpack and headband. She prefers to wear a plastic tortoiseshell-colored headband, though, to go with her hair and look less like a fool.
Also she wears a red glass bead necklace.
